Mark Fleuridor uses painting and quilting to create vibrant moments and landscapes. Fruits, such as mangoes, are used as a recurring symbol for the cycles of life. In the series Clear Skies, the artist references his upbringing in Miami, Florida where mangoes were a familiar presence in and around his parent's home. Fleuridor would often see mangos that had fallen after a rainstorm, floating in puddles under a clear and peaceful sky. The artists wanted to recreate these peaceful moments and use it as an opportunity to reminisce his home.
